The final film in The Conjuring universe, The Conjuring: Last Rites, is almost here, with both the Warrens (played by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson) returning to fight another evil force that has invaded a family home. Michael Chaves has directed it with a screenplay from Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
This time, the story is inspired by the Smurl haunting, in which they claimed that a demon invaded their house and stayed between 1974 and 1989. Ed and Lorraine Warren were called for an investigation in 1986 and said this was one "very powerful" evil force they encountered.
The Conjuring: Last Rites is the fourth film in the subseries and the ninth in the overall franchise. Other than Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, Rebecca Calder, and more are in the movie. While it is scheduled for a release on September 5, 2025 in the United States, it is already up and running in regions like Mexico and the Philippines.
Entire movie is shot in England. We will now see which regions were used to shoot the final chapter of this horror universe.
