A large chunk of the film was shot in Spain, particularly in Barcelona and its surrounding areas, including Sagrada Familia. Some interior scenes were filmed at the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya studio in Terrassa, which is a small town near Barcelona.

2) Portugal

Besides Spain, The Map that Leads to You was also shot in cities in Portugal. This was done to give an authentic feel as the protagonist is on a vacation. Other places where the shooting took place are Porto, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Venice, and the Netherlands.

So we went to Brussels, Amsterdam, and Paris all within 3 days, and I think we went to a club in Amsterdam, and it was the best night ever.”

Madelyn Cline also spoke about the shooting experience with People Magazine in 2024 and said:

“We are [having a] hot girl, Brat summer. We're saying yes to all the new experiences and manifesting and taking advantage of absolutely everything that comes our way. That's the vibe this summer."
