Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme is gearing up for its streaming release on Peacock on July 25, 2025. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival with a standing ovation. Eventually, it was released in cinemas across the United States on May 30. Nearly 56 days later, it is set to start streaming on NBC's streamer.

The film marked writer-director Wes Anderson's return to feature film directorial work after a string of short films, eventually billed as an anthology film, for Netflix. One of these shorts, titled The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, earned him an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.

Following the success of this project, Wes Anderson reunites with Benedict Cumberbatch, among others, in The Phoenician Scheme. It follows the bittersweet tragedies of a dysfunctional family, a recurring theme in Anderson's filmography, otherwise defined by his stylistic choices and the idiosyncrasies of his characters.

So, get ready for another whimsical ride through their minds as the film starts streaming on Peacock.
