Wuthering Heights is the upcoming directorial work of Emerald Fennell.
The gothic romantic erotic drama film is an adaptation of Emily Brontë's namesake 1847 book. The script is written by Fennell, who has also co-produced it with Margot Robbie and Josey McNamara. The film is set to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on February 13, 2026.

Linus Sandgren served as the cinematographer for the upcoming film. The shooting took place between late January and early April 2025 with 35mm VistaVision cameras. Here are all the shooting locations for the film:
1) Yorkshire Dales

This upland range of valleys in England served as one of the major shooting locations for the romantic drama. The makers specifically shot in the Yorkshire Dales National Park since the book is set in the Yorkshire moors.
2) Swaledale

Within the Yorkshire Dales, Swaledale and the Arkengarthdale valleys were also chosen for the shoot. These locations are located in the Low Row village of the region.
3) Hertfordshire
Besides the real locations, several portions of the film were also shot at Sky Studios Elstree, which is located in Hertfordshire.

In a Collider interview, Jacob Elordi was asked if the film is a personal take of the director. He said,
"Yeah, but it’s also incredibly traditional, in so many ways. She is seriously a genius. She knows this book more than anyone, I think, on this earth. It’ll always be an Emerald Fennell film, but it’s brilliant.”
