Adam Sandler recently premiered Happy Gilmore 2, and his daughters Sadie and Sunny featured in it. Sadie, 19, and Sunny, 16, had previously played roles in some of their father’s movies, including Grownups, Murder Mystery, and Blended.

In Happy Gilmore 2, Sunny Sandler plays the role of Vennita, Sandler’s character’s daughter. She is the reason for Happy’s decision to get back into the game of golf, as he hopes to earn enough to send her to a ballet school in Europe.

Sadie, on the other hand, appears as Charlotte, an alcoholic in Happy’s support group who becomes his friend. The two find common ground and are there for each other. In the film’s final moments, Happy says to Charlotte:

"You’re a very cool kid.”

To which she responds:

"You’re very cool too. You remind me of my dad.”

Speaking with E! News on July 16, 2025, Adam Sandler expressed that he felt relieved watching his daughters perform their acting roles well:

“Oh, my god, you're just relieved. Once they do it well, nothing feels better as a parent,”

He added:

“It must be like when you're the parents of a baseball player and you're at the game and they get a hit. You just go, ‘Thank God.’ It’s just so much relief.”

Adam and his wife Jackie welcomed their first daughter, Sadie, in 2006. The actor described fatherhood as fun, adding that he “was dying to do it.”

In 2008, Sadie made her first onscreen appearance in the movie You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. In the same year, she also played a small role in the film Bedtime Stories. For Sadie’s bat mitzvah in 2019, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine made a special performance.

Sunny was born on November 2, 2008. Adam Sandler described her at birth as beautiful. Sunny, who has appeared in several acting projects with her father, also has a passion for music.

During Sandler’s comedy show in 2019, she gave a rendition of A Million Dreams for the audience and received a standing ovation. Sunny’s bat mitzvah in 2022 was a star-studded affair with Jennifer Aniston, Charlie Puth, Taylor Lautner and Halsey in attendance.
