A woman named Aileen Lopera is suing NFL star Stefon Diggs for paternity.

Lopera, who is an Instagram model, socialite, and entrepreneur, has claimed that Diggs is the father of her five-month-old daughter.

According to legal documents obtained by People Magazine on September 18, the lawsuit was first filed in December 2024. At the time, Aileen submitted papers to the court to ascertain the parentage of her unborn child. Lopera demanded that she be granted sole physical and legal custody of the baby once she was born.

However, the model was willing to offer visitation rights to Stefon Diggs. Now, in the wake of the civil suit, the New England Patriots wide receiver has stated he is “not certain” about paternity and has demanded a DNA test.

According to Yahoo!, Diggs has mentioned wanting joint legal and physical custody of Aileen Lopera’s child if he is genetically proven to be her father. The former Minnesota Vikings player has also agreed to “reasonable costs” to cover the due charges related to Lopera’s pregnancy, the child’s birth, and other additional expenses.

Aileen Lopera’s lawyer, Tamar G. Arminak, told People Magazine in a statement:

“My client looks forward to the day Mr. Diggs acknowledges and provides for his infant daughter in Los Angeles.”

According to documents filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the child is named Charliee Harper Diggs Lopera. In July, a judge signed off on the DNA testing for both sides. The results have not been made public as of writing.

Stefon Diggs has yet to publicly comment on the paternity controversy. The matter is receiving public attention at a time when he is expecting a child with rapper Cardi B.

Stefon Diggs is expecting his first child with Cardi B

In October 2024, rumors surfaced that Cardi B was dating Stefon Diggs. However, they did not confirm their romance in public. On Valentine’s Day this year, they were spotted arriving at a hotel in Miami late at night.

Subsequently, in April, the Bodak Yellow rapper was seen giving a public lap dance to Diggs at Coachella. The following month, they were spotted at Madison Square Garden attending a game between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.
