Marvel star Simu Liu, who starred in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend Allison Hsu on May 11, 2025.

The proposal took place during a romantic trip to Paris. In the photos shared by the couple on their Instagram handles, Hsu could be seen flashing her diamond ring. The pair was seen dressed in white for the big day. Liu captioned another one of his post about the day,

“From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch and everything in between, I choose you forever and always.”

While Hsu wrote,

“Us forever.”

According to her LinkedIn profile, Hsu currently works for Interscope Records as a digital marketing director in Los Angeles, California. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Film, Television and Digital Media from UCLA. She has been working with the label since 2017. She also made it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in music in 2022.

Simu Liu revealed in September 2022 that he was going through a breakup with Jade Bender; two months later in the same year, he was linked to his now fiancée.
