On September 4, 2025 episode of The Burnouts podcast with Sophia Kanni, Phoebe, 22, who is the daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates, shared a few comments about the guy she is currently in a relationship with.
However, neither Gates nor Paul McCartney’s grandson, 26, has confirmed their breakup. During the episode, People Magazine reported that she seemingly hinted at the new guy. She said:
“I'm dating a guy who literally doesn't have Instagram. Like, he deletes it, and it's amazing. It’s the best thing ever. And this is completely new for me. I’ve never been with someone like this.”
She has reportedly deleted all her pictures with Donald from her Instagram. The reports of their alleged breakup have sparked a sudden interest in Phoebe Gates’ personal life. Arthur Donald is the oldest grandson of Paul McCartney. He was born on April 3, 1999, to Mary and her ex-husband, TV producer Alistair Donald. He is better known for being one of Paul McCartney's grandchildren. Paul McCartney is an English musician and former member of The Beatles.

Phoebe Gates and Arthur Donald started dating in 2023. In the same year, the pair ignited relationship rumors when the Phia founder shared a now-deleted picture with Donald on her Instagram. She captioned the photo, “Paris on film.”
In January 2024, Gates was photographed with her boyfriend while attending the premiere of Feud: Capote vs. The Swans at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
