Kelly Clarkson has shared an update on her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s health. According to a report in Today, the singer took to her Instagram on August 6, 2025, to reveal the cancellation of her “Studio Sessions” concerts in Las Vegas.

Revealing the reason in her post, she wrote that she needed to postpone as the father of her children has not been keeping well.

Clarkson tied the knot with her husband in October 2013. After being married for seven years, they split in June 2020. They welcomed two children – daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander. They filed for divorce in 2020, and it was finalized in March 2022. Her husband is a talent manager and a television producer.

After his divorce from Kelly Clarkson, Brandon Blackstock continued to co-parent his kids with the singer. Speaking about the dynamics of their co-parenting relationship post-divorce, a source told US Weekly in April 2023:

“She has a great coparenting relationship with Brandon, but things haven’t always been easy in terms of their personal relationship. However, they’ve come a long way and are handling things with their kids really well.”

Clarkson met Brandon Blackstock in May 2006 at the Academy of Country Music Awards. She was performing a duet with Rascal Flatts on "What Hurts the Most." Blackstock was the country group’s tour manager. However, during that time, Blackstock was married to his then-wife, Melissa Ashworth. The duo officially started dating in 2012, following his divorce from Ashworth.

They eventually got married in 2013 and welcomed their firstborn, River Rose, in June 2014. In April 2016, they welcomed their son, Remington Alexander. According to a report in People magazine, after their divorce, Clarkson was handed over the primary physical custody of her children.

Blackstock sought $301,000 in spousal support and $135,000 in child support monthly. The court ordered the singer to pay Blackstock a payment of over $1.3 million, according to People magazine. The former couple’s relationship post-divorce has centered on co-parenting their kids.

Born on December 16, 1976, in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, Brandon Blackstock began his career as a talent manager under the guidance of his father, Narvel Blackstock, at Starstruck Entertainment. He is also a producer and executive. According to his IMDb profile, his work credits include The Kelly Clarkson Show (2019) and Blake Shelton Live: It's All About Tonight (2010).

In addition to his two children with Clarkson, he shares a daughter, Savannah Blackstock (born in June 2002), and a son, Seth Blackstock (born in November 2006) with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth.
