Rapper Ja Rule’s daughter, Brittney Aitken, has announced her pregnancy on social media. Taking to her Instagram, the 30-year-old shared a joint post with her husband, Tevin Aitken, on October 16, 2025.

The post, which included her childhood photograph, read:

“This little bean, is having a little bean. Holding this secret has been so hard but so worth it, momma and daddy can’t wait to meet you. I’ll post more when my belly gets bigger.”

The 49-year-old rapper also revealed the news during an appearance on the Sherri Shepherd talk show. He expressed his surprise and happiness at being a grandfather. He shared with the host that she put the sonogram in a box and made a card that said,

“You're now grandma and grandfather.”

Brittney Aitken was born to Ja Rule and his wife, Aisha Atkins, when the rapper was 19 years old. She is the eldest daughter. The rapper also shares two sons - Jeffrey Jr. and Jordan. She is an actor and a screenwriter.

Rapper Ja Rule’s daughter, Brittney Aitken, has gained the media’s attention after she announced her pregnancy with her husband, Tevin Aitken.

The couple tied the knot in May this year in the presence of their family and friends. The Great Gatsby-themed wedding ceremony took place at Villa Barone Hilltop Manor in New York. It was attended by 250 guests and described by the couple as “1920s meets 2020s.”

People magazine reported that Tevin proposed to Brittney Aitken in Jamaica, his birthplace, on September 18, 2023. It was a beach proposal.

According to his Instagram bio, Tevin is a designer. His LinkedIn describes that he works in the Operations Department at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. He earned a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration from Barton College, graduating in 2018.

Born on September 22, 1995, Brittney Aitken is known for her work in Tales (2017), Growing Up Hip Hop: New York (2019), and Follow the Rules (2015). She made her talk show debut with her father on The Real Daytime. On being asked what advice she has received from her dad, she said:

“It can be tricky. My dad says it best, ‘if you don’t want it out there, don’t put it out there.’ I try to just remain, be myself, who I am, and you know, that’s that on that.”

Brittney Aitken is also an entrepreneur as she runs her own haircare brand, called Based On You. In her message to the customers, she wrote on her website that she wanted a company that “feeds your hair to grow, be healthy, and feel cared about.”

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Aitken opened up about how people used her to reach out to her famous dad. She said:

“You just have to pay attention to people’s characteristics.”

She added:

“... when I meet people from the beginning, a lot of the times, it sounds funny if they’re not interested in truthfully getting to know me from the beginning. [If they’re] asking me all about my dad from the jump, it kind of is a red flag.”

Brittney has shared several photos with her now-husband, Tevin, on her social media. Their posts show the love they share as an affectionate couple.
