Actress Loni Anderson, best known for her role as Jennifer Marlowe in the 1980s comedy sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was 79.
A report in The Associated Press stated that her death was confirmed by her publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan, who said she had been suffering from a prolonged illness and was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital.
Anderson’s family announced the news in a statement, and said that they are “heartbroken” over the loss of their “dear wife, mother and grandmother.” According to Entertainment Now, she is survived by her two children: Deidra Anderson, and Quinton Anderson Reynolds, whom she shares with her former husband, Burt Reynolds.
Quinton was born in August 1988. He was adopted by Loni and Burt shortly after their marriage in the same year. Like his parents, Quinton Anderson Reynolds also stepped into the entertainment industry but stood behind the scenes as a camera assistant, per Closer Weekly.

Quinton Anderson Reynolds grew up largely out of the spotlight and decided to stay behind the camera in his career. He worked as a camera assistant and in the electrical department for a number of films and TV shows. As per his profile on IMDb, his work includes Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016), Tales of Halloween (2015) and Officer Downe (2016).
Legit stated that he is also an editor and a post-production assistant. He continues to lead a private life. During Burt Reynolds’ exclusive interview with Closer Weekly in 2018, he told them about his adopted son, Quinton Anderson Reynolds. He said:
“He is my greatest achievement. He’s a wonderful young man and is now working as a camera assistant in Hollywood. He never asked for any help with his career, he did it all himself, and I’m so proud of him. I love him very much.”

Burt Reynolds, who passed away in September 2018, shared a period of estrangement with his son Quinton Anderson Reynolds following his divorce from his wife, Loni Anderson, in 1993.
In 2003, when Loni appeared on an episode of The Ellen Show, she spoke about her son, QuintonAnderson Reynolds, who was 15 at that time, and recalled an incident from her past when he scolded her for embarrassing him by taking hold of his arm in front of “hundreds of people.” She said he exclaimed, “You touched me!”
A report in People magazine said that Burt “intentionally” left his adopted son out of his will, and said:
“I intentionally omit him from this, my Last Will and Testament, as I have provided for him during my lifetime in my Declaration of Trust.”
The will was signed in 2011 and appointed Reynolds’ niece Nancy Lee Brown Hess as the personal representative of Reynolds’ estate. He reportedly listed his great nephew Brian Ritchey Brown and then his great niece Tracy Erin Rogers as the next personal representative.
