Camila Mendes has been officially engaged to Rudy Mancuso. Their engagement took place on October 24, 2025.

Mendes took to Instagram to make the announcement. The couple shared a joint post on her social media account, which featured pictures from their special day. In the pictures the Mendes is seen wearing a black cardigan paired with a dark grey skirt. Mancuso is wearing a white shirt with grey pants. Her ring featured a large diamond set on a silver band.

They celebrated their engagement by attending a party at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. An insider told People magazine that the influencer proposed to her in front of family and friends.

Born on June 29, 1994, Camila Mendes was born to Brazilian parents, Victor Mendes and Gisele Carraro Mendes. Her father is a business executive, and her mother is a flight attendant.

Camila Mendes and Rudy Manusco initially sparked romance rumors in November 2022. They met while working on the film Música. In the film, Mendes plays Manusco’s love interest. The film premiered on Amazon last year.

Mendes was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, to her parents, Gisele Mendes and Victor Mendes. Her parents divorced at she age of eight. She and her older sister, Viviane Mendes, were raised by their mom. While growing up, they lived in the southern United States. They also lived in Brazil for one year.

In an interview with W magazine, Camila Mendes shared about her extended family who reside in Brazil. She told the outlet:

“I do really get sad because my entire extended family is in Brazil, and they’re all hanging out with each other every day and they have such a sense of family and community. When I was living there that was nice. Brazilians value family so much.”

She made her debut onscreen by portraying the role of Veronica Lodge in the teen drama series, Riverdale, that released in 2017.

In 2017, she opened up about how she and her sibling suffered from an eating disorder. She mentioned it in an Instagram post, and said:

“I can say from experience that eating disorders are serious mental illnesses. Growing up, I watched my big sister suffer from one for many years, and I've experienced periods of my life when I've suffered symptoms as well.”

Camila Mendes is fluent in Portuguese. She is of American and Latin heritage. While speaking with People Chica, the Brazilian actress said:

“I have so much appreciation for how those two cultures have created who I am. I’m a full-blooded Brazilian, with an entire extended family of Brazilians, but I was born and raised in the U.S. When I go to Brazil, I feel like an American, and in the U.S., I always notice the traits that make me Brazilian.”

Mendes is known for her works in Palm Springs, Do Revenge, and Upgraded, among her other projects.
