Kimberly Hebert Gregory passed away on October 3 at the age of 52. The news was shared by her ex-husband through an Instagram carousel featuring photos of the couple. The caption of the post read:

"Kimberly Hébert Gregory You Were Brilliance Embodied, A Black Woman Whose Mind Lit Every Room, Whose Presence Carried Both Fire And Grace. You Taught Us Lessons In Courage, In Artistry, In Resilience, And In How To Keep Showing Up, Even When Life Demanded More Than Its Share."

He further described Kimberly Hebert Gregory as much more than an ex-wife, calling her a dear friend and the mother of their son, who he said carries her light, laughter, and legacy forward. However, Chester has not revealed the cause of her death, choosing to keep that detail private for now.

The couple got married in 1998, as per IMDb. However, the exact date of their divorce is not specified. The two also shared a son together.

Kimberly Hebert Gregory's ex-husband, Chester Gregory, is an actor, singer, and producer. Famously known as C.H.E.S.S., he has been active in the entertainment industry since 1996. His first project, according to IMDb, was American Dreams, where he played the role of Jackie Wilson. Later on, he also appeared on The Daily Show, Revival, and the podcast series Naughty. Additionally, he has also worked as a voice artist in Grand Theft Auto IV, a short titled ISH, and the soundtrack of Hairspray.

Chester Gregory's upcoming project includes Exhale. However, the official release date is yet to be revealed, as the project is under post-production. He has worked as a talent coordinator in the TV series The Dolls.

He was also recognized as an Honorary State Representative of Indiana and earned the Joseph Jefferson Award for his performance in The Jackie Wilson Story at Chicago’s Black Ensemble Theater.

Chester Gregory studied musical theatre at Columbia College Chicago and later taught and directed at local schools and universities.

In May 2006, he played Terk in the Broadway musical Tarzan at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York. In his music career, Chester Gregory has released albums and collaborated with artists like Phil Collins, PJ Morton, and Chance the Rapper. His last album is RETRO(GRADE). Last year, he also released a single titled TYFYGB.
