The couple have been together for nearly six years. They met at a birthday party of their mutual friend in 2019. People magazine reported that Connie Britton was spotted with a ring on her left-hand finger while kissing Windsor at LAX Airport.

The engagement has drawn attention to Connie Britton’s ex-husband, John Britton. He is an investment banker. They met while they were college sweethearts who met at Dartmouth College. According to some reports, besides his career in investment banking, John is also known for his work as a painter, sculptor, and musician.

Relationship between Connie Britton and her former partner John Britton

A sudden interest in the relationship between actress Connie Britton and her ex-husband, John Britton, has reignited among the users.

Britton was born in Boston, Massachusetts, as Constance Elaine Womack to Linda Jane and Edgar Allen Womack, Jr. Reports suggested that her mother was a former social worker and her father was a physicist and energy company executive.

Connie Britton adopted her professional moniker, Britton, after she married her first husband in 1991. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the couple divorced after being married for four years in 1995.

John Britton’s LinkedIn page suggested that he graduated from Dartmouth College in 1989. Later, he pursued a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. He worked as an analyst and portfolio manager at Select Equity Group previously. The page noted that he is currently employed as a manager at Delaplaine Partners LLC.

According to a report in The Hollywood Life, their marriage fell apart as the actress was making her place in the film industry. In an interview with Redbook magazine, she revealed that divorcing her former husband in her 20s was a difficult decision. She said:

“I was married at 24. When I look back, it seems young. I grew and changed a lot. A definite highlight was doing The Brothers McMullen. Shooting that movie was such a joy and then we wound up winning the Sundance Film Festival. That big-break moment is visceral. It happens once in a decade, maybe once in a lifetime.”

She added further that divorce is hard, but they fared better than most because they were young at that time and didn’t have kids of their own.

They do not share any biological children of their own. However, Britton is a single mother to her only son named Eyob Britton. He adopted him from Ethiopia in November 2011. He is currently 13 years old.

In an interview with Parade, Britton opened up about how she had always desired to be a mother. She told the outlet that she initially thought of having biological children first. But she wasn’t able to achieve the kind of partnership she was looking for with John Britton which led her to reconsider her path to motherhood.

Her current partner, David Windsor, also shares two kids named Archie and Tilly with his ex-wife. Connie Britton shared in an interview with Parade that Windsor possesses all the qualities she desired in her partner. Connie and David are yet to announce the date of their wedding.
