Not much is known about Kellye Crockett Parker as she keeps a low profile. She resided in Loveland, Ohio, near Cincinnati with Parker until his passing. Kellye reportedly cared for the sports legend throughout his fight with Parkinson’s disease, following along for exercise, treatment, and frequent hospital visits.
The City of Cincinnati paid homage to the baseball legend by renaming a part of Borden Street at Elmore Street near his childhood home as Dave Parker Way. Kellye Crockett attended the event alongside their kids.
Parker stated at the event:
“I’m really honored to be here today, because this is where it all started. I’ve seen people today I used to play baseball with, go to school with. It was a pleasure growing up here. And I drive through here on occasion just to reminisce, because this is it. This is where it started and made me the individual that I am.”
She also accompanied Parker to the reunion of the 1979 champions in May 2024 and beamed as the crowd gave the latter a standing ovation.
