Denise Bidot, a plus-size model and Lil Wayne’s fiancée, has claimed that the rapper “dumped” her on Mother’s Day, which was on May 11, 2025.
According to a report in All Hip Hop, Bidot shared an Instagram story clip on May 11, alleging that Wayne had ended their relationship via text message while she was recovering from surgery and also "literally kicked" her and her daughter out of his house that day. The video was also shared on the verified X account (@Pep_Boxx) of PepBoxx.
She described her breakup as "diabolical" and claimed that Wayne had physically and emotionally abused her. She stated that despite her love and support for him he allegedly treated them as strangers and sent assistants to evict them from the house. Bidot mentioned that she is considering legal action against his move. She also accussed him of flying in another woman.
According to a report in People magazine, Bidot is Puerto Rican and Kuwaiti. She grew up in Miami before making her way to Hollywood at the age of 18. She is a model, actress and a makeup artist. She recently appeared in the 2025 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. She has a daughter named Joselyn Adams from her previous relationship.
Here is what we know about their relationship.
When did Lil Wayne and Denise Bidot began dating?
Lil Wayne and his fiancé Denise Bidot have been an on-and-off couple for a long time. According to a report in People magazine, they first met in 2019 and made their relationship public in June 2020, a month after his split with Australian model La'tecia Thomas.
Wayne was reportedly engaged to Thomas before he met Bidot. He confirmed the rumors of his engagement to Thomas when he referred to her as his “wifey” on his 2020 track, Not Me.
"You know wifey from Australia / She said ‘Cheers mate’ / Then we toast and see how you n— tears taste," he rapped.
After going Instagram official with their relationship in 2020, Wayne and Bidot went through many ups and downs, leading to several breakups. They first broke up in 2021, reportedly because of Wayne’s political views when he publically endorsed President Donald Trump. They reconciled shortly after.

In April 2021, rumors of marriage surfaced across the internet when the rapper shared a cryptic tweet which said,
"Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!!!! The Carters," he wrote.
Later in an interview with Nicki Minaj, he clarified that the X post was for his sons’ rap group, and he and Bidot had not wed. The couple confirmed their breakup in January 2022.
In an interview with Hola! magazine she said,
"I'm happy, nervous and proud to say I'm starting over in 2022. I'm returning to New York with my daughter and single.”
She added,
"One of the most important things I learned in this relationship is that I enjoy being with someone, I really liked being in love. I'd spent my daughter's entire life without being in a relationship. Thirteen years! I'd been single her whole life. Now I understand that I'd love to fall in love again, be everything for someone and have that someone be everything for me."
On her recent breakup, she posted an Instagram story, stating:

"Breaking up with someone on Mother's Day is diabolical. Prayers up though. God always pulls me through. Walking with faith."
As of now, Bidot has reportedly left for New York to live with her daughter Joselyn Adams.
