The Academy Award-nominated actor Graham Greene has passed away at the age of 73. The news was confirmed by his manager, Michael Green, in a statement to People:

"He was a great man of Morals Ethics ❤️ Character and will be eternally missed. We love you, my brother greene. God bless you. You are finally free. Susan Smith is meeting you at the gates of heaven, God bless you"

Greene was married to Hilary Blackmore at the time of his death. The couple got married in 1990, and together they shared one daughter, Lilly Lazare-Greene, according to People. Greene was also a grandfather to his grandson, Tarlo.

Hilary Blackmore, born in Saskatchewan, worked as an actress in many movies, including Love and Human Remains and The Sleep Room. Additionally, she worked as a stage manager, according to Instant Collan. The couple reportedly lived together outside Toronto.

Hilary Blackmore and Graham first met on the set of his 1990 movie Dances With Wolves, according to Tuko. The couple was married for almost 35 years. However, not much is known about Hilary Blackmore, as she kept her personal life private and away from the media.

In 2024, a Facebook group called Fans of Northern Exposure shared photos of Graham Greene at his daughter’s wedding, which gained attention on the internet. Fans loved seeing Greene in a suit, appreciating his look and him overall as an actor.

In a Reader’s Digest interview, he was asked what career he might have chosen if he hadn’t become an actor, to which Graham Greene replied:

"I’d probably be a welder. I started out as a carpenter, a welder, a draftsman, a carpet layer, a roadie and an audio tech. I stumbled into acting and I thought, These people keep me in the shade, give me food and water, take me over to where I say what I’m supposed to say, then they take me back. Wow—this is the life of a dog!"

Just like his wife, Greene was also fond of keeping his personal life private, rarely sharing details beyond his work. In another interview with Cowboys & Indians Magazine, Graham talked about his acting career, saying:

"I mean, it’s the only job I’ve ever had where I liked going to work. Sometimes it’s boring and miserable, but you still go back. You go to town, get your ass kicked, go home and let it heal up. And then you go back again."
