Australian actor Jason Clarke, widely known for playing the antagonist in several films, in a recent exclusive interview with People Magazine, revealed that he would not think twice if he had to quit acting for his wife, Cécile Breccia, and family. The 56-year-old actor, who starred in the Hulu true crime drama series, Murdaugh: Death in the Family, released in October 2025, shared that if someday his wife, Cécile, asked him to stop working, he would "be happy to do it."

During his interview with People Magazine, Jason Clarke talked about how he puts a lot of thought into and discusses things with his wife before taking up a project. Clarke said:

"You can't do it without a partner like I have. We live a good life. We enjoy our travel together. Who knows where we're going to be at some point, really."

The Pet Sematary actor, Clarke, also shared how, before taking up a certain job, he would think to himself, "Do I have the energy to do that now?" Jason said:

"The 25-year-old in me goes, 'Man I want to go and do it.' Then, I think, 'I've got two kids in school.' There's all this give and take, and then, boom, you're lucky enough to work with someone like Kathryn Bigelow in A House of Dynamite."

He went ahead, saying:

"Sometimes I get a little concerned [about] the boys" because of his changing schedule. "Then, someone will say, 'Oh, the boys love to travel. Get out there. Take them with you.'"

While talking about how he wishes to be a great father to his sons, Jason Clarke added:

"I want to be a great father, whatever that entails, and that is a lot of up and down. I can show them the way, I can teach them things and all that, but I want to make sure that they feel like their life is their own, like mine was for me. That's what my parents gave me."
