Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent are making headlines after they publicly commented on the paternity lawsuit involving Jay-Z and Rymir Satterthwaite pertaining to the rapper’s paternity lawsuit.

Minaj, who has been embroiled in a feud with Jay-Z and the ROC Nation for some time, reposted a screenshot of 50 Cent's statement about the case on her Instagram. She wrote:

“Oh is this why he was trending the other day? Idk. I hope all is well. To God be the glory.”

Her comment was in reference to the paternity lawsuit filed by Satterthwaite, who claims to be Jay-Z’s son, born from a relationship with Wanda Satterthwaite. The 31-year-old is currently pursuing a rap career.

He has been fighting for his identity for over a decade and insisted that he is not seeking fame or fortune, a report in Vibe indicated.

Here are more details about Jay-Z’s alleged son, Rymir Satterthwaite.

A deep dive into the life of Rymir Satterthwaite

Rymir Satterthwaite was allegedly born to Jay-Z and Wanda Satterthwaite in 1993, following a brief romance in 1992. At that time, she was 16, and the rapper was 22 years old, according to a report in the Daily Mail. Wanda died in 2019 due to heart failure, but Satterthwaite’s quest to find his real father has not come to an end yet.

Vibe reported that he grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later moved to New Jersey. He has followed in the footsteps of his alleged father, Jay-Z, and is a rapper. He has released songs such as Way You Move, Count My Blessings, and New Wave.

According to a report in Grazia, his mother told him about Jay-Z when he was eight years old. When Rymir was born in 1993, she was in an on-again-off-again relationship with Rymir Satterthwaite’s stepfather and her boyfriend, Robert Graves.

She requested a paternity test in 2010, but it was denied after it was found that Graves had been listed as the father on his birth certificate. Later in 2011, the test results proved that Graves was not his biological father.

In a 2018 interview with The Sun, he said:

“I don’t want money or anything like that from Jay-Z. I just want him to finally tell the truth to the world. If you say I’m not your son and nothing ever happened with my mum then just take the test. If you are telling the truth, then why is your first answer whenever you’re asked to take a paternity test ‘no’?”

A report in Style magazine indicated that Rymir Satterthwaite’s mother met him through her friend, Kaleesha Allen, per her affidavit. It added that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, asked her to leave with him when he found out about her pregnancy. She said:

“Shawn asked me to leave with him, but I told him I could not because my mother would be upset. I never saw him again until [a] year later on television but still had no idea of his real name until later and did not know how to reach him.”

50 Cent first questioned what the guy was after as a grown-up. Taking to his Instagram, he wrote:

“Can somebody help me with this one, what does this man want? He is a 34 year old man, there is no back child support. Why exactly does he want!”

He then pointed out a striking similarity between his and Rymir’s nose:

“But we’re all thinking the same thing 👀 that is his nose. LOL”

Reportedly, neither Jay-Z nor his representatives have addressed Rymir’s claims in public. According to Grazia, in 2011, his lawyer mentioned in his legal papers that he is ‘not an interested party with respect to the custody of Rymir Satterthwaite.’
