Actor Jeff Bridges, best known for his role in The Big Lebowski, was a recent guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He was at the talk show to promote Joachim Rønning’s Tron: Ares, which will be released on October 10. For the uninitiated, Bridges is married to actress and producer Susan Geston.

They are parents to three children: daughters Isabelle Bridges Boesche, Jessica Lily Bridges, and Hayley Roselouise Bridges. According to People Magazine, the actor had previously said that it was mostly his wife who looked after the upbringing of their daughters. Isabelle tied the knot with her partner, Brandon Boesch. She has two kids, Ben and Gracie.

The actor once shared what he and his middle liked to do together. He said that he and Jessica often played music together. She sometimes performed before his shows, and making music was something that brought them closer.

Hayley has her business, Hayley Bridges Design. She is married to Justin Shane. Once, during an appearance on The Off Camera Show, Jeff Bridges said that Hayley was a talented interior designer.

Jeff Bridges talks about ‘The Dude’

On Jimmy Kimmel’s show, when asked what a typical day in his life looks like, the actor said almost every morning he wakes up feeling a little dread. However, it has stopped bothering him. After freshening up, he would do his foundation exercises. He would then put on a garment, which he said was designed by him.

Speaking about his character, The Dude, in The Big Lebowski, he said:

“I love The Dude. The Coen brothers, man.”

Kimmel said he was surprised to find out that Bridges and The Dude shared similar characteristics. He reminded Jeff Bridges that in one of his movies, he had a line saying he disliked the band The Eagles.

He then asked if Jeff had ever met any of the band members. Jeff said he once sat next to Don Henley on a plane, and Henley jokingly called him out for that line. When asked why he felt people still wore The Dude’s outfit as the Halloween costume, Bridges said:

“Well, there's so many good costumes in there. There used to be maybe they're still out there Labowski fests. You ever hear that? Everybody dresses up.”

Jeff Bridges on method acting and his reclining chair

Discussing Tron: Ares, Jimmy Kimmel asked if Jared Leto did method acting in the movie. Jeff Bridges said he wasn’t sure, but he guessed so. He mentioned how everyone was instructed to call Jared by his character’s name. When asked if he had ever done method acting himself, Bridges said:

“I don't do that. I've worked with a lot of actors that do that and there's some great results but I like to get to know who I'm working with as much as on real time.”

Kimmel mentioned that Bridges brought his own reclining chair to the show. He said he had plenty of these chairs in his home. He asked Kimmel if he had any back issues and said the chair would help him chill out his back. Jeff Bridges said that even though they had fancy sofas in front of the TV, these chairs would be right in front of the sofas.
