Conjoined twins Abby Hensel and Brittany Hensel have sparked speculation after they were recently spotted carrying a newborn baby.

According to a report in TMZ, the twins were photographed on August 14, 2025, in Arden Hills, Minnesota, while putting a car-seated baby into a black Tesla. However, it is not confirmed yet if the baby is theirs or someone else’s. The twins previously shared their interest in having children in the 2003 documentary “Joined For Life.”

Abby Hensel got married to Josh Bowling in November 2021, per People Magazine. While Abby is a teacher at Sunnyside Elementary in New Brighton, Minnesota, Bowling is a veteran who served as a healthcare specialist in the US Army, per People Magazine. Both the twins and Bowling were raised in Minnesota.

The recent pictures of the twins with the newborn baby have piqued curiosity in their personal lives, including Abby Hensel’s husband.

Who is Abby Hensel’s husband, Josh Bowling?

As stated above, Josh Bowling is a U.S. Army veteran.

He was born on March 29, 1989. During his service, he was deployed with the 1st Cavalry Division to Iraq and Afghanistan. He later pursued a career as a registered nurse in Minnesota, where he provided support to the veterans.

During an interview with The Minnesota Star Tribune in 2021, Bowling recalled the period of his training as a nurse. He said:

“I dealt with a lot of death and dying - the bad version of it.”

He added, “felt like a calling.”

“If there's the ability to give someone a peaceful death rather than what I was accustomed to, I was interested in that.”

Josh Bowling married Abby Hensel in 2021; however, their wedding was made public in March 2024. Bowling has been sharing pictures of his outing with his family, enjoying nature hikes, ice cream, and snow tubing.

Abby and Brittany were born in 1990 to their parents, Patty and Mike Hensel, as per a report in Today. The parents decided not to go ahead with a separation surgery, noting the risks of it, as doctors said that there was little chance that both would survive the operation.

In a 2003 documentary, Abby Hensel and her sister, Britanny, expressed their wish to become mothers one day. Brittany said:

“Yeah, we're going to be moms. We haven't thought about how being moms is going to work yet. But we're just 16 - we don't need to think about that right now.”

Their mother, Patty, said that it could work for them as “their organs do work for them.” Abby and Brittany are dicephalus conjoined twins, which means they share a single torso and all the organs below their waist. Each twin controls one arm and one leg. They individually control their heads, but share the same bloodstream and vital organs.

Before tying the knot with Abby Hensel, Bowling was married to Annica Bowling. They share a daughter named Isabella. She was born in 2019.
