Hollywood actor and filmmaker Kevin Costner’s ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, has married a man named Josh Connor, according to the Daily Mail. The October 18 wedding comes nearly two years after her divorce from Costner was finalized in February 2024.
According to PEOPLE, Josh Connor is a financier, longtime friend, and former neighbor of Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner, who is herself a model and handbag designer.
The Baumgartner-Connor nuptial took place at the Santa Ynez Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, in the presence of a hundred close friends and family members. While Christine wore a custom-made Mira Zwillinger gown during the ceremony, she later changed into a white satin strapless Lihi Hod dress. A guest told PEOPLE:
“It was magical — truly. The setting was gorgeous, but what made it special was the intimacy of it all. This wasn’t a big production. It was authentic, heartfelt, and so very them. Everyone there felt like they were witnessing something really precious.”
The wedding was preceded by a welcome celebration on Friday night and wrapped up on Saturday evening.

According to PEOPLE, Christine Baumgartner began dating Josh Connor after she separated from Kevin Costner in May 2023. For instance, in July 2023, they were seen holidaying in Hawaii.
Connor, 49, is an economics major from Massachusetts-based Williams College, according to SCMP reports. He is a managing director and co-portfolio manager of the asset management company Oaktree Capital’s infrastructure investing strategy.
Josh has earlier worked for Barclays and Morgan Stanley and served on the board of Frontier Airlines and Copa Holdings. He is also an entrepreneur who founded his investment firm, Connor Capital SB.
The financier was previously married to a woman named Patricia and got divorced in January 2023. He is the father of three children.
In January 2024, the outlet exclusively reported on this. Later, in December of last year, PEOPLE published another exclusive report that Christine Baumgartner found love again. Back then, a source told the outlet:
“Christine and Josh’s relationship started as a friendship, so they have a really strong foundation. They share the same values, and she feels so happy and supported in this new relationship.”
Around the time, the pair was spotted spending time together in New York City, including holding hands and walking near the Rockefeller Center and Greenwich Village. They were also seen attending a holiday party in Brooklyn.
Later, on January 26, 2025, the couple got engaged during a cosy dinner date in Santa Barbara. The publication reported that Josh Connor went down on his knees to propose to Christine Baumgartner on the beach, just before the rain.
People close to the couple shared they were “not surprised” by the engagement and shared that the love story began when Josh and Christine spent the last Christmas together.
Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner married in September 2004 after four years of dating. They have three children: sons Cayden, 17, and Hayes, 15, and daughter, Grace, 14.
The former couple split in May 2023, and Baumgartner filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, which was finalized in February 2024. They share joint custody of their children, while Costner provides child support.
Earlier in 2024, after reports of Christine Baumgartner’s new romance emerged, an insider told Us Weekly that “something was going on” between the two before she split from Kevin, adding that her equation with Connor was a “real elephant in the room.”
Page Six also reported in December last year that Christine Baumgartner seemingly stayed with the Dances with Wolves star “far too long” for her children. It was also reported that Josh Connor had been Baumgartner’s “rock throughout the divorce ordeal,” and the romance between them was “relatively recent.”
As for Kevin Costner, he appeared on CBS Mornings and shared with Gayle King that the divorce was “powerful and hurt,” but his children kept him together. He also denied being involved in a new relationship, despite rumors of him dating singer Jewel and actress Sandra Bullock, ever since his marriage ended.
