The TV personality and writer Kim Woodburn died on June 16, 2025, following a brief illness, according to The Guardian. Kim was known as the 'Queen of Clean' and gained popularity by co-presenting the TV series How Clean Is Your House?, which aired from 2003 to 2009.

The news of Woodburn's death was shared on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, by her manager in a public statement. Woodburn was 83 years old at the time of her passing. She is survived by her husband, Peter Woodburn. There is no mention of any children in the announcements.

On June 17, Kim's manager publicly announced the star's death. The statement reads:

''It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person.''

The statement continues:

''Her husband, Peter, is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. We kindly ask that Kim’s husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. We will not be releasing any further details.''

Kim also appeared in other TV shows, including the 2009 reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and the 2017 game show Celebrity Big Brother. She was a regular on TV talk shows like Loose Women and This Morning. In addition, Woodburn made numerous appearances on television.

Woodburn began working at 16 after leaving her home and moving to Liverpool. She served as a live-in cleaner for a family, and in addition to being a professional cleaner, she also worked as a beautician, model, and social worker. In her autobiography, Unbeaten: The Story of My Brutal Childhood (2006), she admitted to having given birth to a stillborn baby, whom she buried in a park.

This admission by Kim led to a police inquiry, but no action was taken. Kim was best known for sending personal video messages to her fans for their birthdays. Her last video, posted on her Instagram handle, reminded her fans to send messages for her to record for Valentine's Day. In the video, she says:

''Hello, my loves, how are you all? The usual message, pin back your lugholes, the next time I’m doing the videos, is on Friday, the 21st of February. I’ve just finished them now on the 14th of February, a Friday, okay, so Friday, the 21st of February, get them in, no later than 12.30pm on that Friday and I promise you they will go out before 6pm.''

She ends the video by saying:

''Thank you very much indeed, I hope you’re all okay and just keeping well. Thanks so much for asking me to do these videos, they give me such a laugh. Thank you very much.''

As soon as Kim's death was announced, her fans, colleagues, and followers posted heartfelt tributes on social media.
