Liz McClarnon has revealed that she is pregnant and is expecting her first child with her husband, Peter Cho.

According to a report in People magazine, the 44-year-old actress shared the news through an Instagram post on May 13, 2025. She wrote:

“I started to record a video of me just telling you but I got too emotional so I thought I’d just hide behind this little announcement instead. I just can’t believe we’re here. So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse.”
“I want to share what I can and add my voice and ears to those who already help others understand or deal with all that comes with ivf and loss after so much hope. I’ve been a part of some beautifully supportive communities. I’m so grateful.” She concluded.

She first connected with her husband, Peter Cho, in mid-2021 lockdown when they met on the dating app Hinge. They finally met in person in July 2021. According to the Daily Mail, Cho is a doctor. The Atomic Kitten star moved in with Peter Cho in London. After dating each other for several years, they secretly decided to get married in 2023 at the Lake District Hotel.

Here is everything you need to know about their relationship.

All you need to know about Liz McClarnon and her husband Peter Cho

After keeping her husband, Peter Cho's identity under wraps, Liz McClarnon finally revealed his face on their first anniversary in June 2024. She wrote in the caption:

"Guess what? I have been married to my perfect match for a whole year. I love you Peter Cho! "

Soon after her marriage, she changed her name to Liz McClarnon-Cho on Instagram. According to a report in the Mirror, after connecting for the first time in July 2021 and moving in together, Cho planned a surprise proposal for McClarnon. Eventually, the two got engaged by the Pulteney Bridge in Bath.

While reminiscing about the day, McClarnon recalled:

“I’d actually taken him away for his birthday, then he started leading me down some steps... it was really dark so I had no clue what was going on. Then I saw all the fairy lights and he asked me to marry him!”

She also confessed that although she and Cho might come off as too different, they're quite similar to each other. She added,

“I’m just really grateful for what we found, and I genuinely hate the cheesiness of it, but I just knew it was right. On the outside we seem so different, but we’re actually the same.”

They started their IVF journey quite early in their relationship. In 2022, the couple had three failed embryo transfers, which was a setback for Liz. At the end of 2024, they suffered two miscarriages following their first successful cycle.

She shared how Peter Cho has always been a supportive husband to her in their marriage. She told The Mirror,

“I said I was ‘done’ after the last one, and Peter was absolutely on board with that, he didn’t say anything other than, ‘This is your body and I’ll support whatever you decide you want,’ which was a huge thing for me.”

She expressed how the experience left her emotionally struggling. Her husband and parents supported her during that time. She added,

“I felt so bad emotionally, it was really tough. But then we spent Christmas at home in my tiny two-bedroom flat, and my mum and dad came down from Liverpool and we all squeezed in. That time actually helped me heal.”

McClaron shared that she is now petrified but is also excited to become a mother. She is also aware of the potential impact of her age on pregnancy and is taking aspirin as she falls into the “high-risk” category.
