Everything we know about Deidra Hoffman

Although Diedra Hoffman was born into a family where her mother was associated with the film industry, she spent her early childhood away from the spotlight. Her parents, Loni Anderson and Bruce Hasselberg, were married from 1964 to 1966. After their divorce, she was raised by her mother.

According to her bio in a report by Cooper Magazine, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California in Los Angeles from 1983 till 1987. Later, she attended the University of Nevada in Reno in 1992, where she completed her master's in Educational Leadership in 1993.

Diedra Hoffman became a history teacher in 1987 and started teaching in public schools in California and Florida. In 1999, she took on the role of superintendent/ principal at Northern California Public Schools. While education was her primary focus, Diedra also made her foray into the acting world. She appeared in TV shows such as Relatively Speaking (1988), Intimate Portrait (1990), and The Doctors (2008).

In 2009, Deidra Hoffman’s life took a turn when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This came as a huge shock to her mother, Loni Anderson. In an interview with Closer Weekly in 2017, she expressed her thoughts on her diagnosis and said that she was “torn apart” on learning the news. She added,

“I mean, I didn’t want to fall apart in front of her because I knew she was struggling to just maintain herself, but it was very difficult to come to grips with.”

She further said,

“You have to go forward and make the best you can of it. This is a message of hope. Even though we don’t have a cure yet, we’re learning more all the time.”

Thanking her mom for her constant support, Diedra shared that it got “easier” as Loni backed her daughter during her health battle. Loni said that she is there for her, “every MRI, every test, just to let Deidra know that I love her.”

Diedra’s husband, Chris Hoffman, is also an actor, known for his roles in Lions for Lambs and Molly’s Game. Diedra maintains a relatively low-profile presence on social media. Her Facebook describes her current career as a digital creator. She currently lives in Anderson, California, with her family.
