Who is Noah Brown’s wife? ‘Alaskan Bush People’ alum creates GoFundMe amid custody battle

Reality television personality Noah Brown is currently going through a divorce and custody battle with his estranged wife, Rhain Alicia. In the wake of this, he has launched a GoFundMe titled:

“Help a Dad fight to keep his rights as a Father.”

Rhain Alicia was born Ruth Alisha Merrill in Oregon and later moved to Alaska after marrying Noah Brown. She legally changed her name in 2017.

In the description of the fundraiser, the Alaskan Bush People alum wrote:

“My name is Noah Brown and I'm going through a divorce, and as a dad, it's a tough road ahead. My sons, Eli and Adam, are my world, and I'm doing everything I can to ensure they're okay. This is a battle no one should ever have to face, but it's here, and I’m facing it head-on.”

He continued:

“There have been many challenges in this process, but none compare to the fear of losing my place in my sons’ lives. They are everything to me, and I am ready to do whatever it takes to protect my rights as their dad, including humbling myself and asking others for help.”

Noah Brown’s GoFundMe has raised $1,949 of the $3,000 goal. He also shared a similar message on his Instagram, urging his followers for their support “through donations” or amplifying the fundraiser.

All about Noah Brown’s estranged wife

Noah Brown met Rhain Alicia on August 15, 2016, in Hoonah, Alaska. At the time, Noah’s mother, Ami Brown, was getting her stage 3 lung cancer treatment in the city. Subsequently, he wrote love letters to her and urged her to come down to his hometown, Brown Town.

After nearly two years of dating, Noah Brown got down on one knee and proposed to Alicia during a “romantic sunset hike” with an engagement ring he designed himself.

The couple finally tied the knot in Idaho in August 2018 in the presence of 25 close friends and family. Following the wedding, he told PEOPLE:

“We are so excited to start our new life together as husband and wife, and we look forward to building new memories as our own family. God bless everyone for all of the love and support.”

Meanwhile, it was reported that Noah’s family didn’t approve of Rhain, especially his sisters, Snowbird and Rain. Later, in 2019, the pair moved to Colorado to seemingly maintain their distance from the Brown family.

Noah Brown, 33, and his now-estranged wife went on to welcome two sons, Eli, 6, and Adam, 4. To make Rhain and Snowbird get along, he even made the latter Elijah’s godmother.

In January 2025, the couple announced their mutual decision to separate via a joint Instagram/ TikTok post, after more than six years of marriage.

“We just wanted you to hear this from us instead of from somewhere else. Rhain and I have decided it is in our best interests to separate. We are going to take a break for a while, and we are no longer together.”

Noah Brown revealed he was “asked to move out” a while ago and was living in their “guest cabin.” Additionally, he stated that he was allowed to meet his sons over the weekends or if he texted first and sought permission from Rhain. However, Alicia added:

“But we are currently taking a break. Absence can make the heart grow fonder… We just have a lot to work through. And that’s it, basically… But besides all that, we’re not here to bash each other. We’re working through this cordially. We’re working through it together still. But right now, we agree, it is best if we are separated.”

The mother of two noted that her estranged husband was a “lot healthier” after getting his “own space” and “schedule,” as he didn’t get her “stress dumped on him.” She also mentioned feeling a “lot better” herself.

However, Noah Brown claimed he would keep their followers updated on the separation, while Rhain Alicia, 35, clarified that there would not be any updates from her end. They also added that their children were “happy” as they continued to see both of them from time to time.

Noah Brown is currently based in Oroville in Okanogan County, Washington. On his recent GoFundMe, he wrote that the proceeds would:

“directly help me fight for fair treatment and preserve the most important part of my life: being a present and involved dad to both my boys, because nothing is more important to me than my sons Eli and Adam, not my pride, my dignity, or even my honor.”

Brown concluded by thanking everyone for their help and support, as he navigated through a “very difficult and crucial time.”

Meanwhile, a week ago, Noah went on Instagram and urged everyone to help him find a lawyer and legal expenses, as the little resources he had went on his rent, utilities, and food. He also claimed not having access to “savings from the show.”

Noah Brown also mentioned that the first divorce hearing was scheduled for December 11, and he hoped he got a “50-50 say” regarding his children. He also included his Cash App and Venmo details in the same video plea.

According to Screen Rant, Rhain Alicia is an animal lover who bred puppies and was involved with the nonprofit, Pawsitive Difference. She and her estranged husband previously asked for donations for her honeymoon in Montana.
