When she came back home, she was confronted by her mother and her older brother, Beverley. The court document claimed that the former NBA player allegedly held her by the neck for at least 20 to 30 seconds:"... by her neck with both hands, and picked her up off the ground, by having her feet come up from the floor... squeezed her neck causing her to feel pain... she was losing oxygen and not able to breathe."However, Patrick has denied these allegations, and his lawyer, Letitia, is there to back him up.What did Patrick Beverley's attorney say about the alleged abuse claims made against him by his sister?Patrick Beverley's attorney, Letitia Quinones-Hollins, spoke to TMZ Sports about the incident. According to her, the statement was provided by Beverley's sister at a time when:"when emotions were high."She also added that it does not reveal the actual truth of what happened nor does it reveal the whole story.Quinones-Hollins defended her client, speaking about his demeanor towards his family members. She said:"Patrick is not a violent man and was not violent that night... In fact, he was very respectful with the authorities that night and encouraged others to do the same."His attorney went on to describe him as a "provider" and a "protector" for his family, and that includes his 15-year-old sister as well.Patrick's legal attorney is also confident that all the allegations and claims will be cleared after the investigation is completed. She concluded by saying:"He has always looked out for their well-being and will continue to do so... I have every expectation that when all the facts are in, Patrick will be cleared of these charges."After he was bailed out, Patrick Beverley took to social media to write:"Please don't believe everything you see on the internet... Hope all is well."He also shared a post that reads:"Patrick Beverley has no criminal record... He cares deeply about his little sister — a young lady, a minor. Given that, when he unexpectedly found her alone in the home with an 18-year-old man in the middle of the night, he was understandably concerned, as any brother would be about his sister. However, we don't believe what followed happened the way it's been described, and we look forward to the opportunity to address that in court."Patrick Beverley is dealing with serious accusations. However, his lawyer says the story was told when emotions were high, and it does not show what truly happened. She supports that Patrick is not a violent person and acted calmly that night. She also believes that once all the facts come out, Patrick will be proven innocent. Also Read: New details emerge in Patrick Beverley's arrest: NBA star accused of choking and punching sister
