Riley Keough has sparked controversy after court documents from a recent lawsuit alleged that she is the biological mother of John Travolta's youngest son named Benjamin.

According to the reports, the claim surfaced in an amended lawsuit complaint filed by Priscilla Presley's former business partners, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, against her son, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia. Kruse alleged that Lisa Marie Presley's former partner, Michael Lockwood, told her about Ben Travolta's secret parentage.

The incident has drawn interest towards Keough’s personal life. She has been married to Ben Smith-Petersen, with whom she shares two children, Tupelo Storm and a baby boy born this February.

They met during the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road and began dating during reshoots in Australia. He is a stuntman and an actor. According to People magazine, he performed stunts in Hunger Games and Suicide Squad. He appeared alongside Riley Keough as an actor in Spark and Light.

All we know about the marriage of Riley Keough and Ben Smith-Petersen

Riley Keough and Ben Smith-Petersen have developed a strong bond since their decade-long marriage. The two connected in Australia as their romance blossomed with time.

After meeting on the sets of Mad Max: Fury Road, Riley Keough invited Smith-Petersen to her friend’s house in Sydney. In an essay for Vogue Australia, she wrote,

“We had a couple of drinks and I remember we had a connection. He started salsa dancing with me and teaching me, because he grew up dancing. It was such a fun night. A few of us went to one of the bays for a swim and it was really magic.”

They announced their engagement in 2014. People magazine reported that their first wedding was held in Nepal which was according to Hindu rituals. Their second ceremony was held in Napa Valley, California in February 2015.

The couple became parents to their daughter, Topelo Storm in August 2023. She was welcomed through surrogacy.

Riley Keough secretly welcomed her second child earlier this year. His birth was confirmed by Keough’s grandmother Priscilla Presley in an interview with People magazine. However, the parents have not revealed the baby’s name publicly.

She previously shared her thoughts on creating a normal childhood for her children despite being from one of America’s most famous families. On a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast the actress said,

“I really want my children to be able to find joy playing in the backyard and doing normal kids stuff and not need elephants and circus and all these things all the time.”

During her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Riley Keough shared that she wanted to have kids with her husband on their second date. She said,

“When I met my husband, he came out of the gas station on our second date and I thought, ‘I’m going to marry him and have kids with him.’”

She then added:

“It certainly wasn’t at that point. I thought, ‘If I tell him now, he will leave me here in Australia at the gas station.'”

Riley Keough is the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough. She also had a brother named Benjamin Storm Keough who died by suicide in Calabasas, California. She has Lyme disease which reportedly influenced her decision to use surrogacy for her children.
