Swedish actor and musician Björn Andrésen passed away on October 25, 2025, aged 70. Kristian Petri and Kristina Lindström, the directors of his 2021 documentary, The Most Beautiful Boy in the World, confirmed the news to the Swedish news outlet Dagens Nyheter on Sunday. The cause of death remains unknown.
Björn Andrésen’s only daughter, Robine Román, paid a heartfelt tribute to her father via a poetic post on Instagram on Sunday. Robine, 41, is married and has children of her own. She appeared on The Most Beautiful Boy in the World four years ago.
The Swedish caption’s English translation reads:
“Be still. No more harsh words. There's not much of me left. Don't cry over me. Here, there is no longer any fire to put out. I no longer have a sense of what is me and what is not me. I look around me. Is that where I am? Or that thing?”
It continues:
“I'm becoming invisible. I've given everything I had away. But I shall not die. Remains a door. I'm not dying. I just disappear. Maybe I'll wake up again. Then I will come back and look for you.”
The post was accompanied by a clip from The Most Beautiful Boy in the World, featuring Björn Andrésen walking on a beach, alongside scenes from his time on the sets of the 1971 film, Death in Venice.
All you need to know about Björn Andrésen’s daughter, Robine Román
Björn Andrésen and his ex-wife and Swedish poet Susanna Román, welcomed their only daughter, Robine Román, in 1984, a year after their wedding. The details about Robine’s professional life remain undisclosed. However, her @libertycapone account on Instagram has 1,589 followers. Her bio reads:
“41 years old. Just the right height. Sleeps. Eats. Cuddles with Billie. Has a few children and a few husbands.”
Billie refers to her pet dog.
Robine Román had a brother named Elvin (born in 1986), who succumbed to sudden infant death syndrome, nine months after his birth.
Björn Andrésen’s daughter has a partner named Daniel, aka Quilian Chan (@quilian on Instagram). In August of this year, she took to the platform and wrote on their fifth anniversary:
“That I still get to have this gem on my arm, huh! Still giggly, still edgy, and he still makes me laugh in all sorts of different ways. Congratulations and thank you for five years as a pre-marriage! I love you, Daniel ~ August 20, 2025 ~”
Robine Román is a mother of two children: Nike and Nemo. She often shared throwback pictures of his parents. For instance, in March 2020, Robine shared a black-and-white image of Björn Andrésen and Susanna Román and wrote:
“Nike thinks this is me and Daniel. I think it's nice and think that maybe she sees those similarities between dad and Daniel that I also saw when I was head-over-heels in love as a 16-year-old and suffered from an obvious father complex.”
Likewise, in October 2016, she posted another picture of her parents from before she was born. Robine's social media also often showed glimpses of her time spent with her father during her adult life.
Now, in the wake of Björn Andrésen’s demise, Robine Román shared another post, paying tribute to her dad. It comprised four images, including one with Andresen playing his guitar, one with a framed handwritten note and a rose kept on a table signed by his granddaughter Nike, and two other pictures of the actor with his daughter on the lakeside and in the backyard with a children’s bike.
“I watched over you, as I always have. And I loved you. As always. But lately I have loved and watched in a way I never knew existed. With uncertainty. Hopelessness. Hope. Despair. With fear of the inevitable. A life without you in it,” the caption began.
It continued by stating how “scary” it was to keep loving Andresen only through “memories” and a “different” yet “irreversible” kind of “longing.” Calling “fearlessness” her father’s “strength,” Robine added that she was going to take time and grieve until she’s done.
According to Björn Andrésen’s daughter, he had an “unwavering faith in the afterlife,” something he had previously shared during his 2021 interview with The Guardian, adding he believed he would meet his late son, Elvin, in the afterlife.
“For the last time, on this side of everything. Good night, my dad. My beloved, beloved dad! See you soon,” the caption concluded.
Fans and loved ones also paid their tributes under Robine Román’s post. She also reposted the Instagram post tribute by her mother, Susanna Román, 63, on her own Instagram Stories.
