As reported by Entertainment Weekly, she will star alongside actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is set to reprise her iconic role as Buffy Summers.

The two announced the news on their Instagram accounts, featuring Gellar surprising the 15-year-old actor. In the video, the 48-year-old actress asks her “Chosen one” if she will stand by her side to save the world. Armstrong responds with a joyful nod, tears in her eyes.

She then calls her dad, Dean Armstrong, and asks him how he feels about “this journey,” and he proudly responds with:

“I know this is exactly where she's supposed to be right now.”

Dean is also an actor. He is known for films such as Wrong Turn, Joy Ride, Saw, Supernatural, and the TV series Chapelwaite. He is from Ontario, Canada, and is a graduate of Queen's University with degrees in Education and the Performing Arts.
