The death of Fawlty Towers actress Prunella Scales has brought attention to the lives of her sons, Samuel West and Joseph West. She passed away at the age of 93 in London on October 27, 2025. She was best known for her role as Sybil Fawlty in the classic sitcom.Scales had been diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2013. Her death was confirmed by her sons. They offered her a tribute where they mentioned that dementia forced her to retire from her acting career. The statement read -“Pru was married to Timothy West for 61 years. He died in November 2024. She is survived by two sons and one stepdaughter, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.”It further added that the last days of the actress were comforting as she was surrounded by her loved ones.
