Blake Lively's deposition, which was scheduled to take place on July 17, 2025, has been postponed.

The new date for Lively's deposition is July 31, as reported by TMZ. This rescheduling is the result of the dismissal of Jed Wallace, a social media guru, due to jurisdictional reasons. Both Lively and Baldoni's teams have agreed to the delay.

Since Wallace was dismissed without prejudice, the It Ends With Us actress can refile if she wishes to. TMZ also clarified that since both sides have to go over the amended complaint, which will take time, they have decided to push the deposition date back by a few days.

An insider source who is close to Lively told TMZ:

"Ms. Lively respects the Court’s decision, which has nothing to do with the merits of her allegations about Mr. Wallace’s role in the smear campaign and relates solely to the procedural question of whether he is subject to jurisdiction in New York or elsewhere."

They continued:

"We currently are evaluating our numerous options for holding Mr. Wallace accountable for the pivotal role he served in the retaliatory effort that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties paid him at least tens of thousands of dollars a month to perform."

Justin Baldoni and his legal team have not responded to the rescheduling.

When did the legal drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni start?

Four months after the release of Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us film, Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Justin Baldoni. According to the complaint, Lively was harassed by the male actor on set and did not respect professional boundaries during intimate scenes in the film. The complaint was filed on December 20, 2024.

Hoover also stepped in to comment on the brewing drama and sided with Blake, writing on Instagram:

"@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt."

In January 2025, Baldoni filed a lawsuit against Blake Lively for defamation. The following month, Justin Baldoni made two of the complaints he filed against the actress public. He posted them on a website titled "Lawsuit Info," along with the links to two documents.

On June 9, 2025, Justin Baldoni's countersuit was dismissed in court. Blake Lively's legal team had this to say after the dismissal:

"As we have said from day one, this '$400 million' lawsuit was a sham, and the Court saw right through it... We look forward to the next round, which is seeking attorneys' fees, treble damages, and punitive damages against Baldoni, Sarowitz, Nathan, and the other Wayfarer Parties who perpetrated this abusive litigation."

Blake Lively’s deposition has been rescheduled from July 17 to July 31, 2025, following the dismissal of Jed Wallace due to jurisdictional issues. Both parties have agreed to the delay.
