Except for Megan Fox, everything in the first three Transformers films was constant: the thrill, the emotions, and, of course, Optimus Prime. The movie continued the story with Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), Transformers' ally, in the lead as the war against the Decepticons rages on planet Earth.
In the first two films, Fox played Witwicky's girlfriend, Mikaela Banes, another of the Transformers' allies. However, she was replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who played Carly Spencer, a new girlfriend of Witwicky's who, again, got stuck in this war with her boyfriend's metal-clanking friends.
But the interesting thing here is that Megan Fox could have been a part of the third film too if not for her controversial comment that showed her the way out of the Transformers' gate. Following that, Rosie's character entered, though she was unable to sustain it for long and never appeared again in the rest of the series.
Megan Fox's comment cost her her role in Transformers 3
The actress was supposed to be part of the third film in the series, Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), where she had a similar role to Carly's, where Patrick Dempsey is her employer, Dylan Gould, who was also one of the antagonists working with Megatron (voiced by Hugo Weaving).
However, she made a comment comparing Michael Bay's work ethic with Adolf Hitler's. Executive producer Steven Spielberg didn't like this fact and chose not to continue with her role.
According to an exclusive story by Deadline, Megan Fox said of Bay that,
"He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for."
Michael Bay, according to GQ Magazine, said about her firing that,
"She was in a different world, on her BlackBerry. You gotta stay focused. And you know, the Hitler thing. Steven [Spielberg] said, "Fire her right now.""
Several people reported issues working with her, and some also gave sarcastic responses to her "Hitler" comment that will have you dead laughing.
Megan Fox lost, perhaps, her only chance to be in a billion-dollar film

Maybe, if the actress is lucky, she will be a part of a film that makes over $1 billion at the global box office. If not, there could be regret that she could have been part of a film like that because Transformers: Dark of the Moon went on to earn that sum, becoming the first movie in the franchise to do so.
That, and Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), were the only movies to cross that barrier. After that, the films kept falling when we consider the box office success, with the latest film in the franchise, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023), only making $441.3 million, the lowest in the series.
All in all, the Transformers films have earned $5.2 billion at the global box office, with most not becoming a thing for the critics, except for Bumblebee (2018).
More Transformers movies are likely to come in the future. Rise of the Beasts was supposed to be a part of a three-part series, but its status is uncertain.
Bay was also said to be in talks to return to the franchise, though we don't know when. But there's one thing for sure: he won't 'torture' Megan Fox anymore.
