Singer and songwriter LeAnn Rimes has reportedly quit The Voice UK after coaching contestants for approximately a year. She revealed her "honor" of being the coach on The Voice Australia and The Voice UK in February 2024. According to the American Songwriter, LeAnn Rimes is stepping away from her role on The Voice UK.
An alleged source reportedly told The Sun that LeeAnn Rimes' decision comes in light of focusing her career in a new direction. They noted:
"LeAnn loved her time on the UK show, but wants to focus on her career in the States. She was hugely popular with cast and crew and everybody loved having her as part of the team."

The source alleged that the team is looking for "another female singer" to join the line-up. While ITV is yet to confirm the coach lineup, the coaches are speculated to include Will.I.Am, Sir Tom Jones, MycFly members Danny and Tom.

LeAnn Rimes has reportedly quit her role as the coach on The Voice UK. However, the singer will continue to work with the franchise in the US and will reportedly focus on new things there. While the singer hasn't officially explained the reasons for her decision, she had reportedly hinted at a transition in her life through an Instagram post (@leannrimes) on May 2. She wrote:
"Thank you all for making april full of love, laughter and connection. may, i am SO ready for you and the exciting new journey i am about to embark on! stay tuned…."
On May 5, LeAnn Rimes revealed her role as the "megamentor" on The Voice US in a shared post on Instagram. John Legend praised Rimes' contributions and wrote:
"Honored to have @leannrimes as Mega Mentor for #TeamLegend during the Playoffs. She brought honesty, experience, and some serious vocal instincts to the room — and my team leveled up because of it!"
The singers shared glimpses of Rimes advising the contestants and sharing constructive feedback. She revealed she didn't have a "mentor" when she started singing as a kid artist, and she really enjoys being able to help "young artists". John Legend humorously described her as a "Season pro," seeing her be a part of multiple The Voice shows.
LeAnn Rimes may have stepped away from her role at The Voice UK, but she will continue supporting the franchise in the US. Additionally, while she kept information under wraps, she is reportedly working on an "exciting new journey" in May.
