Lily Collins' father-in-law, Malcolm McDowell, revealed that he does not watch the American romantic comedy drama, Emily in Paris. During an exclusive interview with People, the English actor said:
"To be honest with you, it's not my kind of thing, and Lily knows that."
However, this does not mean that he does not support his daughter-in-law's acting. He continued by saying:
"But I'm the biggest fan of my daughter-in-law. I think she's absolutely one of the great actresses."
He continues to praise Lily Collins by calling her "aura," "so beautiful". He proceeded to elaborate on her acting skills. Malcolm McDowell said:
"She has such a beautiful quality... As far as I'm concerned, when she's on the screen, there's nobody else on it, because she's not only a good actress, but she has a beautiful quality. I suppose, it's a sort of charisma."
Malcolm concluded by saying that even though he does not watch the show, he believes that Lily Collins has contributed immensely to the tourism sector with her show. He added:
"I'm sure [it] has gone up so much from people in the United States watching and going, 'Yeah, let's go to Paris.'"
