Tommy Vext was scheduled to perform in Dallas, Corpus Christi, and Houston From November 30, 2024, to December 3, 2024, as part of his Gods and Monsters Tour. However, the singer canceled the tour on November 25, 2024, to focus on his mental health and what the singer stated were 'financial circumstances beyond his control':
"Due to circumstances beyond my control I will be forced to cancel the Texas dates in Dallas, Corpus, Austin and Houston next weekend. Personally this is extremely disappointing considering the continuing series of events that caused the east coast dates to also be cancelled. Additionally after burying my father and several family members this year-"
The singer continues in the statement:
"-it has been extremely difficult to remain optimistic and focused on music. On top of struggling to process so much grief I have also gone back into intense therapy after witnessing my former partner’s second violent suicide attempt in my home. Sometimes as men we spend so much our energy trying to help save everyone else-"
Tommy Vext went on to elaborate on his mental health situation and how it came to be:
"-that we wind up neglecting our own mental and spiritual health. We can become more intensely frustrated with our own limitations seeing ourselves as failures for things we couldn’t fix. Things that often weren’t our responsibility to repair in the first place."
Tommy Vext continued:
"So now is the time for me to take a step back to focus on healing my own health and well being. I have no doubt the following months will lead to some of the best music I have ever made in my career. So please show me some grace for now and allow me to return bigger and better then ever (as one president once said to me.)"
While ticket refunds are not mentioned in the statement, authorized vendors like Ticketmaster usually automatically process refunds within 30 days of cancelation. Those patrons who purchased tickets from third-party sites will need to approach said sites for refund details.
