Young Thug recently appeared on The Pivot Podcast.
During his appearance, the rapper talked about how several celebrities reached out to him after the leaked jail calls incidents, which plagued him over the course of the last few weeks, including Savage and Drake:
"Savage, Lil Baby, Drake, the jail phones, all that sh*t came out. Drake texted me: 'Bruh, n***a, I love you. F*ck 'em. Drop that music, bro. Let your music talk. Well, you know, I just got a few phone. calls from a few people. It's a few people that didn't call."
The rapper continued:
"So, I'm damn near happy that the sh*t happened, because it just like showed they color then I cuz I just had like new plans for all those people included, too. So, it's like the people that didn't that let that type of sh*t change how they feel or change how they move is just like good. Like, I'm just happy."
The leaked jail calls refer to a series of alleged calls by Young Thug. The calls leaked included a variety of conversations. These included one where Young Thug is heard admitting to cheating on Mariah the Scientist.
In a few others, the rapper is heard airing out his grievances against Gunna, calling him out for his Alford Plea and accusing him of snitching and turning the YSL case into a Racketeering case. Thug, in another leaked call, is heard talking about his problem with Quality Control's P, whom he also accused of being an informant, in common parlance, a 'rat'.
Thug also admitted to wanting to use bots for his album Business is Business. He also talked about wanting to drop the album at the same time as Gunna's album. Thug is heard in another leaked call about how useless Wheezy Outta Here is and how he is not capable of keeping up with things.
Young Thug and Drake have a long history of collaboration
Young Thug and Drake have a long history of collaborating. The artists' first collaboration was marked by the song Trae Tha Thug - Try Me, which was released in 2014. This was followed by their collaboration on the track The London, which also came out in the same year.
Subsequently, the two collaborated on the mixtape Slime Season 3. They also collaborated on tracks like Hot (Remix), and Go Crazy, as well as Bubbly, Oh U Went, Way 2 Sexy, Sacrifices, Ice Melts, Solid, Parade on Cleveland, It's Up, and more.
Young Thug released his fifth album in September 2025
Young Thug released his fifth studio album, UY Scuti, on September 26, 2025. The album is the singer's first new album since his 2023 album Business Is Business. The album features guest appearances by 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Quavo, Lil Gotit, 1300Saint, Future, and Mariah the Scientist, as well as Ken Carson, Cardi B, T.I., Lil Baby, Sexyy Red, and YFN Lucci.
The album features a total of 20 tracks, with a runtime reaching up to 74:22 minutes. It was released via YSL, 300, and Atlantic Records.
The album was first announced in January 2025 by Metro Boomin, who is among the producers of the album, alongside production by ATL Jacob, London on Da Track, TM88, Wheezy, and Southside. It was preceded by two singles, Money on Money and Miss My Dogs.
