"This deserved more screen time!": Fans in awe as Schiaparelli reveals the making of Ariana Grande’s Oscars gown

The 97th Oscars happened on March 3 in the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles. Among the glamorously dressed celebrities, Ariana Grande stood out and received praise from fans and media houses for her custom-made Schiaparelli Haute Couture pink satin duchess and nude tulle dress by Daniel Roseberry.

Apart from this dress, the Thank You, Next singer was also wearing a red dress with the Ruby Slipper design in the back while performing the Wicked set with the co-star Cynthia Erivo on the Oscars stage. The singer wore Schiaparelli custom haute couture by Daniel Roseberry.

Schiaparelli also added the details of the dress in their recent Instagram post by stating:

"@ArianaGrande, wore a bustier ball gown entirely embroidered with over 150 000 Siam sequins, zillions and cut beads enhanced by a tonal tulle train with aerodynamic volume. The dress is adorned with a tonal 3D trompe l’oeil vintage shoe at the back. Matching embroidered pumps."

Schiaparelli shared the behind-the-scenes of the making of the red gown worn by Ariana Grande for her Wicked performance during the Oscars.

The Instagram reel gained the attention of Ariana fans and fashion lovers, who didn't hesitate to appreciate the dress in the comment section.

Ariana Grande's dress was inspired by the Schiaparelli Fall/Winter 2024 haute couture ball gown. The singer also wore the famous Dorothy (Wizard of Oz) inspired ruby slippers that were custom-made for her.

Grande was styled by her longtime stylist, Mimi Cuttrell. As for the makeup, she used products from her brand, r.e.m. beauty, for a dewy, glowing look.


Ariana Grande was also nominated in the Actress for Supporting Role category at the Oscars 2025 for her performance in the Wicked movie. Her costume designer, Paul Tazewell, won the Oscar for Best Costume Design for Wicked, becoming the first Black winner in the category.
