Sarah Michelle Gellar wore an all-black outfit at the Balenciaga womenswear Fall/Winter 2025-2026 show at Paris Fashion Week. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star took a page from her character’s edgy looks and donned a monochrome black ensemble for the runway show.
Her outfit consisted of a mid-length trench coat worn atop a form-fitting black mini dress, tights, and pointy-toed-slingbacks. For accessories, Gellar wore rectangular sunglasses and chunky silver earrings.
The actress also held a black Hermes Kelly bag. Her blonde tresses were styled in a blowout and a side part that framed her face.

Sarah Michelle Gellar joined other Hollywood stars like Jessica Alba, Lori Harvey, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Barbara Palvin in the front row. The Balenciaga womenswear show was presented by designer Denma and designed as a maze with black curtains providing a dark atmosphere.
The models strutted down the runway in distressed jeans treated with resin, oversized denim jackets, statuesque hooded dresses, and parka jackets with fur-lined hoodies. Speaking with a W Magazine representative after the show, Denma explained the symbolism of the show’s maze-like design and dark ambiance:
"This runway, which looks like a backstage corridor, is where everything begins in terms of what you and everybody else sees. Being constructed in the shape of a maze is symbolic because there are multiple ways you can take, and multiple destinations to which you can end by making this or that decision. There is a parallel to the moment in which we are right now, especially in the fashion industry. I think I’m missing fashion that feels urgent.”
Balenciaga also showcased their collaboration with Puma as models could be seen in tracksuits, sweatsuits, puffers with corsets, and asymmetric dresses. For the latest collection, Denma worked on conventional clothing silhouettes and put her spin on them. The designer stated:
“I thought I would do a study of standard silhouettes because it’s the hardest thing to do. It’s easy to put a chair on the head and then be like ‘That’s unwearable art’ or whatever. I just wanted to make my standard.”
The Balenciaga womenswear fall/winter 202/5-2026 show is Sarah Michelle Gellar’s first public event since the passing of her cast mate and longtime friend, Michelle Trachtenberg. Gellar shared a heartfelt tribute to the late actress on February 27, 2026, using an emotional line from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series in which they co-starred.
