Did General Hospital's Nina just ruin her relationship with Willow for good?

General Hospital's Nina Reeves seems to always screw up. She makes impulsive decisions that she thinks will work out in the end, but they always turn into a disaster. Is that about to happen again?

Nina's big, bad ideas

When Nina (Cynthia Watros) first walked into the Tan-O to visit with her old pal Phyllis (Joyce Guy), she never expected to find a presumed-dead Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) standing there, complete with amnesia. Her first instinct was to call Carly (Laura Wright) and tell her to come fetch her husband in this sleepy Pennsylvania town, but Carly just yapped away and insulted Nina. So, Nina hung up and kept her Sonny secret for six months.

While she eventually landed Sonny and even married him, she alienated Michael and Willow so much that they forbade her from seeing Wiley. Heck, Michael even had Nina arrested on a trumped-up identity theft charge. When Nina eventually learned Willow was her daughter, she had screwed things up so bad that Willow wanted nothing to do with her.

Nina was so distraught over Willow not inviting her to her wedding and wanted Carly to give her away, that she made the impulsive decision to turn Drew and Carly in for insider trading (a crime they actually did commit). Drew ended up falling on his sword and volunteered to take all the blame and go to jail to protect Carly while Nina repaired her relationship with Willow.

Once Nina's part in Drew's jail stint was revealed, Willow refused to speak to Nina ever again. Willow's feelings have since changed, and she and Nina are closer than ever, but Nina's reckless move threatens to blow up the mother-daughter relationship again.

What could possibly go wrong on General Hospital?

Like when she tried to get Carly to listen to her about Sonny being in Nixon Falls, she tried to get Carly to listen to her about not making any big moves to keep Drew and Willow apart. Knowing that Carly could go against her at any minute, she teamed up with Portia to set Drew up for a fall.

Now, Drew has made a complete fool of himself thanks to a drink laced with ketamine, and Willow knows exactly what Drew was up to while she was in Germany trying to see her estranged husband in a burn clinic. All Nina wanted was for Willow to see Drew for who he really was and dump him, but Willow has now seen more than Nina ever imagined.
