General Hospital's Emma was both devastated and infuriated to learn that Josslyn Jacks got the summer research assistant position she worked her tail off to earn, but that doesn't mean she's not going to fight back.

Emma's suspicions

Emma is sure that Josslyn (Eden McCoy) sabotaged her data model assignment in order to snag the job. She is correct, but she is wrong about Josslyn's motives. Josslyn is working for the WSB and is only doing her job, but to Emma, it's much more personal.

While it sometimes seems as if Emma is also working for the WSB, she might only want to be a super spy and sees nabbing Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard) as a way into the life she's always coveted. Emma was trying to solve crimes with her secret agent grandparents as a tween, so it makes sense that she wants to be like them.

"It’s not just about the research position," actress Braedyn Bruner explained to Soap Opera Digest. "I think Emma is someone who thinks 20 steps ahead in life, and she was viewing this as her future. I mean, she wants to be like Anna. She wants to save the world; she wants to save everything and everyone."

Anna (Finola Hughes) is also the one who has warned Emma not to make any accusations against Josslyn without solid proof that she did anything wrong.

General Hospital revenge?

Emma might listen to her grandmother and not outright accuse Josslyn of wrongdoing, but she is not going to just lie down and accept her old frenemy stealing a job that should have been hers.

According to Bruner, Emma is going to find a way to one-up Josslyn soon.

"Emma is so intelligent and she picks up on every detail and she’s always thinking 10 steps ahead of everyone," Bruner said. "[She observes something] that makes her feel like, Okay, I can use this to my advantage.' Emma’s feeling is, 'I have to get this position, whatever it takes.'"

If Emma learns what Josslyn has really been up to, will she try to join forces with her to help bring Dalton down? Will she tell her grandmother that Jack (Chris McKenna) hired Carly's (Laura Wright) daughter? Anna learning that Josslyn is a WSB agent could be some of the most entertaining scenes we've seen in a long time.
