'Drew is Shiloh' — The latest weird and wonderful General Hospital fan theory

General Hospital's Drew Quartermaine — or is it Cain? — hasn't been quite himself since returning to Port Charles in 2021. However, his most dramatic change came during the last year when the character underwent a complete transformation that turned him into someone completely unrecognizable.

Who is this Drew?

As it stands now, Drew (Cameron Mathison) is the town pariah, hated by his family and former friends The only person who seems to tolerate him is clueless Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), his nephew's estranged wife who inexplicably thinks Drew walks on water and can do no wrong. In fact, it seems like Willow is in a cult, something she escaped from when she first arrived on the scene in 2018.

Not only is Drew eerily similar to Willow's former cult leader Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), but Drew also seems to have bought the house that Shiloh used for his PC cult operations. While nobody has explicitly said this is the Dawn of Day house, eagle-eyed fans have pointed it out.

Curious fans also wonder if there is a reason Drew seems so similar to Shiloh, aka David Henry Archer — what if Drew really is Shiloh?

General Hospital fans play detective

As GH fans have watched Drew do one more horrifying thing after the next with Willow justifying all of it, they have tried to figure out why the man who was such a good husband to Sam (Kelly Monaco) would ever act like this. While Sam killed Shiloh and his body was identified, fans also know that anything can happen on a soap.

X (formerly Twitter) user @AmFodalo7 is convinced Drew is Shiloh and not a Quartermaine at all.

"'You are despicable. I can't believe you descend from my brother Alan!' says Tracy" they wrote. "He doesn't! I'm jumping on the Drew is Shiloh bandwagon!"

"Let's find out that Drew is really Shiloh, seeking revenge on Willow and all those who wronged him including Jason," wrote @KimJaSamFan, who wants Sam to be alive as well. "Also, making everyone think Sam is dead while he has her locked up somewhere. Bring Kelly Monaco back as Sam."

Blue Sky user @geniesea is ready to see this happen and would be giddy if Drew turned out to be Shiloh.

"I know people have been saying it and I also know that Frank & Co are terrible at their jobs and won't do it," they wrote, adding, "but I would laugh for days if Drew turns out to be Shiloh. It's what they all deserve."

@soshell311 also sees the similarities between the characters, posting, "I know there are comparisons to Drew and Shiloh but does anyone think Drew IS Shiloh. It would explain why this Drew is nothing like the original and the infatuation with Willow and her mother."

GH fans recall that Shiloh and Drew (when he looked like Steve Burton's Jason) knew one another from their days in Afghanistan, so Drew being Shiloh — or even weirdly similar to Shiloh — is not a stretch. We also must remember that the version of Drew that Franco (Roger Howarth) became when he was mapped with Drew's memories was as much of a louse as the one we are seeing today. Maybe this is the real Drew Cain after all, a carbon copy of cult leader Shiloh.
