Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on General Hospital

We have always been willing to suspend disbelief for the actual Nurses' Ball performances because there's nothing like a good musical variety show, but we have never been able to handle the hour of silly little red carpet walks that precede the performances every year. Sure, it's pretty amazing that cops, executives, doctors, nurses, and super spies also all happen to have song and dance talents, but why would the national and local press cover a talent show put on by an Upstate New York hospital to benefit an AIDS wing? We are sure hospitals all over the country hold benefits, but we don't see the guests walk the red carpet on Entertainment Tonight. And that's because it just doesn't happen. Like, who are these Port Charles citizens that anyone cares about an interview with them on the red carpet? While our soap stars are famous people in our universe, soap characters are not particularly famous people in their fictional universe. Yet, they walk the red carpet every year, and Nina can't wait to interview them. We don't even have Britt and Brad around anymore to eat ice cream at home and watch the red carpet walk on TV and offer commentary. They would have gotten a hoot out of watching Tracy get arrested on live TV, but nobody in Port Charles blinked an eye or seemed to care. Poor Tracy.
