General Hospital Daily YAPP Recap, August 4: So, what is Cody's job again?

Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

It appears to us that Kristina is truly wasting her cash on Cody. We understand that her convoluted plan was meant to break Ric and Ava up so they'd turn against one another and stop blackmailing Alexis, but it doesn't seem like Cody was actually needed for that. While Kristina planned to push Ric toward Elizabeth after Cody did his thing, all she really had to do was let things happen naturally since Ric just gravitates toward Liz as part of his default setting. While Ava is indeed ready to double-cross Ric and let Alexis off the hook, Cody has had nothing to do with it. Sure, he cozied up to Ava and even pulled her in for a very awkward kiss, but she was horrified by that kiss and doesn't really seem all that interested in Cody. This should be clear to Kristina by now, while it should also be clear that she is also hurting her sister with her little pointless scheme, but Kristina is not about to give up. Cody doesn't even know the real motives behind what Kristina is up to. He just thinks he is helping get Molly's dad away from a woman Molly doesn't like, and that's apparently good enough for Cody. Kristina just offered Cody another $10,000 to get the job done, but we are still not sure what the job is when the mission has already been accomplished.
