General Hospital Daily YAPP Recap, August 7: Did Kristina's plan really work...or was it luck?

Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

So, Ava and Ric are now at odds and looking for ways to dissolve their illegal blackmailing partnership legally. Kristina is so proud of herself for coming up with an idea to split the pair, but in all honesty, what did she really have to do? As Stella pointed out, Ric would do anything for Elizabeth. He follows her around like a puppy dog and will always choose her over any other woman in the world. This is no secret, so all Kristina really had to do was sit back and let nature take its course. Ava and Ric would have split, whether Cody was in the picture or not. Yes, Cody did manage to do what he set out to do and get Ava interested in him to the point where she rubbed ice on his chest at the pool before kissing him, but this was after both Ric and Ava separately went about ending their blackmail scheme. All Kristina managed to really accomplish was making a complicated mess for Molly, whom she had to keep from the pool, or her heart would have broken seeing Cody and Ava together. Kristina could have saved herself about $20,0000 if she'd just been patient, but her impulsive nature is what got her and her mother into this mess to begin with, so we guess the Cody debacle is just par for the course.
