Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

General Hospital needs to face the fact that it jumped the shark with the character who calls himself Drew Cain. As fans and publications have been pointing out for quite a while, this Drew Cain bears absolutely no resemblance to the guy who first arrived in town in 2015 with Jason Morgan's face before quickly having plastic surgery to give him a brand-new face. Yes, Drew has been recast since then, but that is not the issue. It's the writing that has created a new character, and one we just can't like. You can't stick Drew with his first love interest in Port Charles and expect us to have sympathy for him. While we know in our heads that Elizabeth and Drew nearly married, it still feels foreign in our hearts. It didn't matter that Liz already knew this man was Jason (allegedly) and had been lying to him for seven months, something she alluded to on the August 8th episode. It still feels like another character, so when GH uses Liz and Drew's past to try to make us still feel sympathy for its resident smarmy politician, it falls flat. At this point, nothing can get us to like him. He has done too many awful things this year, including emotionally abusing a child. No amount of scenes with our favorite nurse can change the fact that Drew has become one of soaps' most hated characters
