General Hospital Daily YAPP Recap, December 22: Molly and Cody

Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on General Hospital

It took all darn year, but Molly Lansing-Davis and Cody Bell finally kissed on the December 22nd episode of General Hospital. And what a relief! Because, as we said, it took all darn year. It's rare to see such a slow build of a relationship on soaps these days, but Molly and Cody had one of the slowest builds we've seen in years. But that is not the only thing that makes them a rare couple. They are also so adorably sweet together that we could get cavities, but in this case, we'll take the cavities. These two characters were two lost souls just going through life when Cody was placed in lockup for the night, and Molly was the assistant district attorney assigned to the case. They are complete opposites, but they absolutely work. When we first saw GH chem test Kristen Vaganos and Josh Kelly, we weren't sure what to think, but Molly and Cody just grew on us. The only thing we can hope for them in 2026 is that they make it to the front burner, or maybe at least the middle burner. They deserve their own storyline and not another year of "Does he like me? Does she like me?" They know they like each other now, so it's time to get this show on the road. Do they have a smush name? If not, we will call them Colly and be happy.
