Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on General Hospital

It's been well over a year since Ric Lansing returned to Port Charles and finally, he is getting some scenes with his own brother, Sonny Corinthos. Ric and Sonny have always had a contentious relationship, especially since Sonny didn't even know he had a half-brother until the 21st century began. Plus, Ric has done some pretty awful things to Sonny, including locking Sonny's pregnant wife (Carly) in a panic room decades ago. Now that Ric got a taste of his own medicine after Kristina, Ava, and Alexis locked him in their own version of a panic room this past fall, he seems to want to become a new man and has made overtures toward his brother. And they seem to be working, as Ric and Sonny spent Thanksgiving evening bonding over booze before Gio and Emma burst in with a bunch of rescued dogs. When Ric was in a car accident last winter, Sonny didn't even seem to care. In fact, he acted like his brother's dying would have no effect on him at all. That's when we wondered if this sibling relationship was salvageable, but we guess it is. Maurice Benard and Rick Hearst have mad chemistry as scene partners, and the Emmy winners have worked well together off and on for nearly a quarter of a century. So, let's see more of this, as Sonny and Ric act like brothers again.
