Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on General Hospital

When you put Willow Tait (Cain) in a courtroom, you never know what you're gonna get. As Suzanne said, she has a habit of having mental breakdowns in court, but she sure didn't do that on the January 8, 2026, episode of General Hospital. Instead, she put on the cool, calm, and collected performance of a lifetime. As Willow painted herself as the poor, innocent mother who fell for her savior and lost her children as a result, she remembered every move she made the night he was shot — including pumping two bullets into her now-husband's back. We saw her take the gun from Edward's study, drive to Drew's house, and shoot him with a look of sheer disgust on her face. It was the same disgust that we all feel every time we hear Drew speak, but Willow was able to do something about it because the writers who control her allowed it. And it was everything we had hoped for since last January, when we predicted Drew would be shot and suspected Willow would be the one to do it. A year later, we were proven right, but thanks to that Daytime Emmy-worthy performance by Willow (and Katelyn MacMullen), will the jury believe she did it and acquit? Yeah, probably. Kai and Trina know the truth, but as soon as that jury comes back with a verdict, Willow will likely never pay for her crime. It would be double jeopardy, after all. But maybe this is where the fun begins, and FINALLY, Nellow comes out to play.
