General Hospital Daily YAPP Recap, June 11: Another missing piece to the custody fight

Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

Yesterday, we looked at how Diane dropped the ball during the custody hearing by not at least asking for a recess to confer with her client after he wrote her a note that Willow's claims about the German clinic visit weren't true. Michael didn't even bring it up again until after the hearing was over, and then dropped it again in a flash. However, Michael also knew what Drew said to Ric in front of Wiley and how Willow immediately sided with Drew over his own kid. Why would Michael not tell Diane this, as it would be something the judge might want to know? The judge could have asked to talk to Wiley for his side of the story, cause she likely would have believed a sincere and earnest kid. While Sasha giving birth on the courtroom floor was a nice twist in this custody fight, we are hoping for another one that brings these missed opportunities to the forefront. It's one thing when bad actors keep a secret that could throw a case, but to see one of the parents and his lawyer fumble things so easily is exasperating and makes very little sense. With nearly the entire General Hospital fandom on Michael's side and ready to throw eggs at Willow before a "Who Killed Drew?" story, we need to see both of them lose badly in court. Too bad, there were missed opportunities to make that happen.
